What is this?

Why start something new?

We are building a home for people who long for deep connection with Jewish spirituality, identity, community, and practice, but aren’t finding it in existing Jewish models in Atlanta. We want the steady rhythm and sense of belonging that comes with a shul, while embracing creativity and experimentation in bringing Jewish practice into our lives.

We aim to build a community that has:

  • Camp-like spirit and haimish, relaxed vibe: Jewish joy is centered here – we embrace celebration, experimentation, and fun. Many programs are home-hosted or outdoors, cultivating warmth, intimacy, and connection with nature.

  • Shared leadership: We co-create with lay leaders, rabbis, and spiritual voices from across Atlanta.

  • Community-driven, data-aware: We listen and adapt. We use feedback and reflection – both qualitative and quantitative – to understand what’s working and what’s not, so that we evolve to serve the community.

  • More depth, less small talk: Events are designed to spark genuine conversation and meaningful connection.

  • Atlanta at the center: Our geographic reality is that we are not in close proximity to our Jewish community. We want to serve Jews within intown Atlanta; part of the beauty of rotating locations is to spread the load on who needs to travel to get to events.

While also leaning into core competencies that can be found in other Jewish organizations in Atlanta:

  • Consistency you can count on: A steady rhythm of events so members can build this community into their lives.

  • Meaningful Jewish experiences for adults and kids: A Jewish community that is too kid-centered leaves adults unfulfilled, and one that is too adult-centered leaves kids disengaged. We aim to build something that people of all ages are excited to join.

  • Embodied practice through music: Embodied practice is central: Judaism not only studied or debated, but sung, danced, and felt. Nigunim and participatory singing, and curated playlists infuse our gatherings with joy.

Vision

A co-created community rooted in ever-evolving Jewish ritual that brings Jewish spirituality to life through time together outdoors and meaningful connection.

What We Value

A spirit of Here & Now

We are creating a Jewish community that feels alive, relevant, Atlanta-infused, and of this moment. Services are participatory, interactive, musical, and creative – rooted in Jewish tradition, but not stuck in forms that feel more like rote obligation than meaningful, spiritual practice. It is on us to figure out how to make Jewish practice relevant to life here, today.

Consistency & rhythm

Jewish life thrives when woven into our rhythms. Our gatherings follow a reliable cadence so participants can count on it as their Jewish home base.

Pluralism and inclusivity of thought and practice

This is a Jewish group, but all are welcome and central to a thriving community. We make space for the full spectrum of Jewish identity: whether you're Jew-ish, not Jewish, Jew-adjacent, Jew-curious, partnered with a Jew, honorary Jew, Jew-supportive, new-to-Jew, through-and-through Jew, and/or just here for the Jew food. Our focus is on loving different expressions of Jewish life by sharing meaningful time together to.

Connection with yourself and with something bigger than yourself

This community wants to help you experience a sense of belonging to something larger than yourself. That “something bigger” may be different for each person: it may be the chain of Jewish tradition, the shared story of humanity, your local community, the Divine Presence, and/or the natural world. However you name it, our purpose is to help you feel both deeply yourself and deeply connected to what’s beyond you.
